Yellow Cake
1 cup butter
1 1/2 cups sugar
8 egg yolks
1 tsp vanilla
3/4 cup milk
2 cups cake flour
2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Grease two 9" round pans or 1 9x13 pan using pan grease recipe.
Sift together cake flour, baking powder, and salt.
Sift again and set aside.
Cream together butter and sugar for 2-3 minutes.
Beat in egg yolks one at a time, blending well after each addition.
Stir in vanilla.
Beat in flour mixture and milk alternately, beginning and ending with
flour mixture. Mix just until incorporated, being careful not to over
beat.
Pour batter into pan(s) and bake at 350 degrees for 25-30 minutes.
Yellow Cake Recipe
2 -3/4 Cups flour
2- 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 Cup butter
1 - 3/4 Cups sugar
1 - 1/2 teaspoons vanilla
2 eggs
1- 1/4 Cups milk
Grease and flour baking pan. Combine flour, baking powder and 1 tsp.
Salt. Beat butter about 30 seconds. Add sugar and vanilla, beat until
well combined. Add eggs one at a time. Add dry ingredients and milk
alternately to beaten mixture, beating after each addition. Turn into
pans. Bake in 375 degree oven for 30-35 min.
