Stacking cakes

Stacking cakes

I have stacked wedding cakes straight up before...but I have been asked to make a cake with 4 graduation caps stacked. Any ideas how to stack these in a "crooked manner" that will hold up? I plan to use fondant to make the 4 individual cakes....just don't know how to stack them. Thanks!
