Practice Icing Recipe


Use this practice icing recipe when practicing your cake decorating techniques. You can make up a batch of this icing and keep it around for a while since it does not contain any perishable ingredients.


It doesn't taste very good, but it's great to have around when you need it for practicing cake decorating instructions.


Practice Icing Recipe

1 cup solid shortening

4 cups powdered sugar

enough water to reach a medium icing consistency.

Mix together shortening and powdered sugar. Add water a little at a time until you reach a medium consistency icing.
