Here are some pirate cake ideas. The great thing about a pirate cake is
you can make one a number of ways. Some of our pirate theme cake
decorating ideas are a 3D ship
cake, shape your cake out of a 13 x 9 pan, make a skull and cross
bones, or a treasure box cake.
Shape a pirate ship out of a 13x9 cake. Cut out a triangle for a
sail. Create a boat for the bottom.
Add lifesavers for holes in the side of your boat.
Use blue gel or blue foil for the sea.
Create a 3D ship by cutting square cakes in half and standing up
vertically. Attach together and to your cake board with frosting. Carve
part of the middle for the inside of the ship. Decorate.
Create a treasure box by stacking several square cake layers.
Decorate and place treasure on the top. Insert a piece of cardboard
decorated like a treasure chest lid to the back of the cake.
Create a treasure map cake.
Use a toy boat and figurines. Decorate your cake blue and place
figures on the cake. You can add candy fish to your sea also.
