My LV purse cake

My LV purse cake

by Ivania Mora
(Miami,Florida)

I use one 9x13 pan. I cut it in 3 equals parts and I stacked one on the top of the other one. I carved the top making the form of the purse. The handles I used a mold and I let it dry for one week.

For the filling I used buttercream to cover it. After that I rolled fondant, covering first the sides and after the middle of the purse. I cut a LV letters from a pattern I printed off my computer.

I used royal icing colored for the letters and the little fleur the lis. I stuck together the handles with bamboo skewers and royal icing. I cut three long strips to cover the sides and the bottom of the purse and after that I painted it ith highlighted gold in power dust mixed with lemon extract.

I covered my board with chocolate modeling and I finished with a little bouquet of flowers.
