Mint Frosting Recipe


A mint frosting recipe that is superb on brownies, chocolate cake or dark chocolate cake. These recipes work well as a filling between cake layers as well as a frosting for the top. If you'd like to you can add a few drops of green food coloring for a minty "look".


Mint Frosting

8 Tablespoons butter, softened at room temperature
2 Cups powdered sugar
2 Tablespoons milk
1 teaspoon peppermint extract
Blend 4 ingredients together in mixer until smooth.

Cream Cheese Mint Frosting

1 1/2 teaspoons peppermint extract
3 (8 ounce) packages cream cheese softened at room temperature
5 cups powdered sugar
1/2 cup butter softened at room temperature
In mixer blend all ingredients together until smooth.
