making a bigger portion for 45 people

Hi there, if I was to make a cake for 45 people, do I double/triple my ingredients?

Hello,
To help visualize feeding that many, one sheet cake feeds about 60 people.

A normal size cake mix out of a box or recipe is about 4-6 cups of batter. You will need 12 cups of batter which is the equivalent of tripling your recipe or using three box mixes.
