Fire Pit
by: sisters2

I would use a large round pan in 2 layers, like a 10 or 12 or half sheet in 2 layers, scoop out some on the top to make it look like a round or rectangular fire pit; crumb coat it, buttercream a color like brick and mark off bricks with a spatula like they were concreted; spread orea cookie crumbs in the middle where it was scooped for the fire area.

With the icing mixed with the crumbs, it could resemble ash. Take some lifesavers and melt them in the oven on parchment like you do for stain glass windows- using red, yellow, orange, putting some next to each other and others singles, and after they cool, you could scatter them around like hot ash.

If you don't know how to use the isomalt, you can find large lollipops that are the color of flames and break it up and nestle the shards among the cookie crumb material; or even make thin cookies freehand to look like flames, coat with icing and place the same way.

Find some little decorations, like a small frog to put on the ledge, or the dollar store might have small fireplace pokers (like they use in doll houses)amongst the items they carry or use some black icing and a round tip to put your own on.
