Lady Bug Cake

You can decorate your lady bug cake with creating icing ladybugs or make a ladybug shaped cake. See our ideas and submit your own lady bug ideas below.

Free Cake Decorating Ideas:

• Make ladybugs with tip 12 for the red body. Use a small tip 1 or 2 for the black details.


• Use a ladybug shaped cake pan or ball pan to create a ladybug shape. To finish off your cake all you need is a cupcake, red frosting, twelve Junior mints for spots or small chocolate round candies, two green gumdrops for the eyes and black shoestring licorice for the antennae.

• Print off a ladybug cake decorating pattern and paint your cake or make a buttercream transfer.
  


• Use a round cake pan, ball shaped pan or batter bowl for the ladybug body add a muffin for a head and decorate as you'd like.

Ladybug

I made a classic 10" round and a 10" devil food cake and stacked them together with a buttercream filling, it was then about 5" high.

I made a small 3" round semi circle cake for the little ladybug. I colored the buttercream with green food coloring and then made a design on the top. I created small roses and placed them next to the ladybug that was covered in green, pink and black fondant.

This cake was made for a one year old. I thinks it a wonderful cake.

For a Ladybug Party

For a kids ladybug party a fun game to play would be sticker tag. You will need white circle stickers or dots. Give a sheet of stickers to each child and have them each color their dots a different color. To play "ladybug tag" each child runs and tags a spot (sticker) on their team mates.
