I got this pound cake recipe from a lady I worked with years ago. She
brought this cake to work, and I refused to eat it because "it's always
so dry". Well, she kept insisting I try it so finally I did. I have
been making this recipe for years now. It is rich, buttery and moist.
Give it a try and you'll see what I mean.
Buttery Pound Cake
3 cups sugar
2 sticks of butter
6 eggs
1/2 cups whipping cream
3 cups sifted flour (plain)
Directions
Preheat oven to 300 degrees.
Grease bundt pan or tube pan.
Cream together sugar and butter until fluffy.
Add one egg at a time, beating well after each addition.
Alternate flour and cream, mix only until blended.
Bake at 300 degrees for one hour.

Lemon Pound Cake
1 cup butter, softened
1/2 cup shortening
3 cups sugar
5 large eggs
3 Cups flour
1 Cup milk
2 tablespoons lemon flavoring
In
a mixing bowl add butter, shortening and sugar. Cream together. Add in
eggs and stir together until well blended. Add flour and milk a little
at a time until batter is blended together. Add in flavoring.
Pour into 10 inch tube greased pan or cake pan of choice and bake for 1
1/2 hours. Depending on the size of your pan cooking time may vary.
Chocolate Chip Pound Cake
1 yellow cake mix
1 3.4 oz pkg instant vanilla pudding mix
1 cup vegetable oil
4 eggs
1 cup milk
2 (1 oz) square semisweet chocolate, grated
2/3 cup milk chocolate chips
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease a 10” Bundt pan.
In a large bowl, stir together cake mix and pudding mix.
Make a well in the center. Pour in eggs, oil, and milk.
Beat on low speed until well blended.
Scrape bowl well and beat at medium speed for about 4 minutes.
Stir in grated chocolate and chocolate chips.
Bake for 1 hour.
