Elmo Cake
Finding the right color to decorate an Elmo cake can be a little
tricky.
See
how we make red icing.
This cake was made with a 13x9 pan and an Elmo pan. The 13x9 pan
is decorated with a shell border and candy sprinkles. It is
done using the
star fill in method.
We also have ideas below on how to make Elmo cupcakes. They are fairly
easy and can be a fun way to celebrate an Elmo birthday party.

Free Cake Decorating Ideas:
- Blow up or copy a picture on waxed paper of Elmo and transfer to
your cake using the paint a cake method.
- Instead of filling Elmo in with stars you can fill it in with a
spatula or paintbrush since the red takes a lot of space.
- Instead of using stars you can use Tip
233 for hair.
- Decorate a 2 layer cake however you'd like and use small Elmo
toys for decorating.
- Making Elmo cupcakes are
fairly easy. Pipe red stars or red hair with tip 233 over top of your
cupcake. With a large writing tip pipe large white eyes at the top of
your cupcake. Finish with black circles in the middle of your eyes. As
any easy alternative you can use large marshmallows cut in half for the
eyes. With frosting add a chocolate chip to each marshmallow eye. Add
an orange gumdrop for an Elmo nose. Add a chocolate cookie cut in half
for a mouth. Or use fondant for mouth and eyes.
