Santa has his list Christmas Angel Christmas tree of cupcakes

The Santa and Angel cake was chocolate fudge with buttercream icing, decorated with various star tips throughout and number 3 for outlining.

The cupcakes were vanilla with buttercream icing. Normally, I would take a spatula and after icing, pull it thru to make the cupcakes look like one whole tree, but this was for a group of nurses at work who needed to be able to pull one and run, without making a mess of themselves.

Christmas cake

by Dorothy Kidari
(Mesa, AZ, USA)

Christmas is alive in Singapore

The bottom portion of the cake consist of 2- 14" chocolate cakes with oreo cookie pudding in one and chocolate pudding in the other. The tree consist of 8, 8" yellow cakes trimmed down to take the shape of a tree.

I decorated the bottom cake and inserted 3 dowels to hold up the bottom cake and the tree to top. This cake was created for a restaurant that was just opened and wanted something for the customers and employees to celebrate Christmas.

The cake is all butter-cream, except the figures and the bottom topping. I decorated the cake by covering the bottom 2 layers with white buttercream frosting, then added homemade decorated cookies, candy canes, marshmallow lollipops for figures and sprinkled candy cane around the top of the base.

I then added the tree to the top of the cake and decorated it with butter-cream frosting using the leaf tip, and then rolled fondant for the ribbon. I then decorated the tree and bottom cake with different color stripes to resemble confetti.

Topped the cake with additional lollipops. I found the idea from the web, a tree decorated in Singapore. After I was done, it was a proud moment. This was only the 2nd cake I ever made. The patrons that came to the restaurant thought it was a decoration. They thought it looked too perfect to be real.
