While most people think of Camouflage cake as a military style pattern,
a hunting camouflage pattern may be the perfect pattern for a woodsman.
Snow, sand and winter camouflage patterns can also be used to create
cakes in every season.
Camo Cake Ideas
Hunter Camo
Hunter camouflage patterns use tree trunks, leaves and branches. By
cutting leaf stencils, you can create forest patterns on top of a green
or brown iced cake. Sugar sprinkles and colored sugar provide a wide
range of color and textures. Place edible or plastic animals including
deer, bear or turkeys on an iced cake with fondant-leaved trees. Duck
blinds created from iced graham crackers might sit next to an icing
pond with fondant cattails.

Creating a woodland scene around a two-layer Camouflage cake iced on
top in a woodland hunter’s pattern may include edible stencils or
plastic animals. Use fondant trees, leaves and animals around the edges
of the cake.
Camouflaged Cupcakes
Camouflaged cupcakes provide a wide variety of choices since each one
can be slightly different. Using blue camouflage icing, then place a
parachute soldier on top. If you use sand-colored patterns then park
toy military vehicles on top of each. Brown and tan-colored icing
provides the perfect background for animals, blue patterns for birds,
and green for insects.
Use cupcakes on top of sheet cakes to provide the forms of duck blinds,
park ranger stations and natural formations like caves, hills and
waterfalls. Sheet cakes decorated with cupcakes provide lots of room
for the inclusion of streams, small boats, animals, birds and figures.
Winter Camouflage
Winter or snow camouflage cake allows you to use rock candy and edible
glitters to create frozen wonderlands. Snowshoes, ski’s and igloos made
from sugar cubes are just a few ideas of how you can turn a winter
camouflage pattern into an edible delight. Cut and shape cupcakes into
natural snowdrifts where polar bears and penguins can hide.
You can try a camo design by using
different greens and chocolate
frosting and piping stars in the same type of random patterns
resembling camouflage.

of the large piece. Roll out flat. Cover your cake with finished

easy cake decorating solution.
