Buttercream Icing Recipe
This is my favorite buttercream icing! The taste is incredible, and
it is perfect to decorate with. I use this on every kind of cake from
birthday cakes to wedding cakes. Try it once and you will never use
anything else.

Vanilla Buttercream Frosting Recipe
- 1 Cup butter
- 1 Cup solid shortening (crisco)
- 2 lbs powdered sugar
- 4-6 Tablespoons milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla flavor
- 1/4 teaspoon almond or 1/4 teaspoon lemon flavor
Directions:
- Cream butter and shortening, add milk and flavorings. Beat well.
Add powdered sugar a little at a time until well blended.
- Your icing may be a little thick. If it is, just add a Tablespoon
of
milk at a time until you get a good, spreadable consistency. If the
icing is too thin, add a little powdered sugar to help thicken it up.
