Backyardigan cake and cookies

I must admit that when I was asked to make this cake, I had no idea who the Backyardigans were. I researched on the internet and found pictures that I could make copies and do in color flow.

I made an extra set, just in case one would crack and when they didn't, was able to use the form to make sugar cookies on a stick and attach the second set for a cookie bouquet.

The cake itself was a simple sheet cake of lemon cake- the favorite of the entire family and requested for years. Buttercream icing was used to frost it smooth and tip 32 to produce the shell border along the top and bottom of the cake. I free handed the cacti and enhanced the characters with them.
