Alligator Cake Decorating

Alligator Cake Decorating

by Jenny Koverman
(San Jose, Ca)

I baked a rectangular cake and a bundt cake. Cut up the bundt cake and alternated directions to make the back of the alligator. Cut up the rectangular to shape the legs, tail and head, sticking them together with frosting.

I cut up black licorice whips to make the toenails. Cut up marshmallows to make the teeth. Cut green gumdrops in half to make the scales. Used nonpareils for the eyes, scraping off the white in the middle to make a pupil.
